Mother's Life Journey

“My passion is creating family heirlooms by interpreting traditions and history into art form. I listen to people’s stories and compose them onto hand-built ceramic creations.”

Award winning ceramic artist, Astrid Marina Gotuzzo, specializing in custom handmade one-of-a-kind art. She captures magical moments on large platters, teapots, and tiles with art interpretation, actual “storytelling”, or personalized dedication. Milestones are recreated. Family traditions and history are written down to be cherished. The Family Tree and Coast of Arms are the essence of our existence, and honored. These are the treasures that should be passed down to our children and loved ones.

Gotuzzo, lived in Rome for 12 years enjoying the arts and Italian culture. She studied ceramic techniques under a prominent Roman family who’s been in the ceramic business for over 150 years.

Gotuzzo has traveled throughout the world acquiring different perspectives for the use of pottery and different manners in communicating traditions and stories onto vessels. Gotuzzo lived, worked and studied in Rome, Florence, Portofino, Malta, Nepal, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Peru. She traveled throughout Western Europe; sailed the islands of Italy, Greece and Tunisia; safaried in Kenya and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania…. …appreciating pottery along the way.

In 2001, Gotuzzo returned to her roots in Southern California to raise her daughter Alessandra, and create ceramics.
